The musical runs approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes (including an interval) and is recommended for children aged 7+. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted into the theatre. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

2. The Food & Wine Magazine Christmas Show in the RDS
28th November 2013 – 1st December 2013
The Food & Wine Magazine Christmas show 2013 is back from the 28th November to 1st December 2013. A three-day food and drink extravaganza, that will show you how to recreate world class dishes in the comfort of your own home! The RDS Main Hall in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the weekend. The Chef’s Kitchen which will be the heart of the show featuring Ireland’s top chef, were you will be able to learn from the masters and recreate some of their favourite Christmas dishes at home to the Artisan Village featuring wonderful produces of Irish suppliers. Between demos on the chef’s stage, there are a host of fantastic free masterclasses to enjoy. Inspired by Ireland’s top Food & Wine Magazine experts in our FREE Master classes, which will cover topics such as Wine & Champagne tasting, Cocktail-making, Cheeses and Chocolates.

3. Dublin Docklands Christmas Festival 2013 at the IFSCchristmas market dublin docklands
12th December 2013 – 23rd December 2013
Everyone's favourite Christmas Festival is back again for the 9th consecutive year, bringing Christmas cheer and magical festive treats to the heart of Dublin from the IFSC at Georges Dock. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever with a few surprises added to the regular line of events including an entertainment area taking place on the event platform in George’s Dock. The Victorian Carnival, the fantastic artisan food and craft market and of course Santa's grotto will all be back to help make your festival experience a magical one.

5. Three NYE Dublin Festival
29th December 2013 – 1st January 2014

The Three NYE Dublin Festival, which is the official closing event for The Gathering 2013, boasts an exhilarating two day schedule kicking off on 29th December. This year organisers have announced an eclectic musical line up including Iconic ska band Madness and Ryan Sheridan. Now in its third year, The Three NYE festival’s main highlight is the highly anticipated Countdown Concert on New Year’s Eve at College Green and Dame Street. Last year’s event saw crowds of over 50,000 on the streets of Dublin and contributed to Dublin’s nomination as one of the Lonely Planet’s Top 5 New Year’s Eve Destinations in the world. This New Year’s Eve, Dublin city will be transformed in true festival fashion with free events such as The People’s Procession of Light. Continuing with the free theme, New Year’s Day will see many events including a Big Brunch, Family Day & Ceili at Meeting House Square from 11am until 6pm.

6. Christ Church Cathedral Christmas Market
Inside the ancient walls of Christ Church Cathedral this Christmas, one will find an intimate holiday market with stalls selling a variety of crafts. Held inside the church’s historic 12th century crypt, one of Dublin’s oldest structures, you will be hard pressed to find a more unique shopping experience this Christmas.

9. Christmas Deer Talks at Phoenix Park
Some two hundred fawn are born every year in Dublin’s Phoenix Park. Each Christmas, the park offers members of the public the chance to meet some members of Bambi’s herd and to listen in on a talk given by the park’s keepers. Sure to warm the heart of even Ebenezer Scrooge.
